Terms of Service
Effective Date: 1 January 2026 · Last Updated: 7 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Passbook mobile application (the "App") operated by LNPK Business Private Limited ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using Passbook, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Passbook Does
Passbook reads the bank and UPI transaction SMS on your device and organises them into a passbook — showing credits, debits, account balances and a transaction history. Passbook is an informational tool to help you track your own money. It is not a bank, a payment service, a lender, or a financial adviser, and it does not move, hold or transfer any funds.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Passbook.
3. SMS Permission
Passbook needs SMS read permission to detect transaction messages. You grant this permission voluntarily and may revoke it at any time in your device settings. Without it, Passbook cannot automatically detect new transactions. How we handle SMS data is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Accuracy of Information
Passbook extracts information from the SMS your banks and payment apps send. The totals, balances and entries it shows depend on those messages being received and correctly formatted. Passbook may miss, duplicate or misread a message, and balances shown are indicative. Always treat your bank's own statements and records as the authoritative source. We are not liable for any decision made solely on the basis of information shown in the App.
5. Subscription and Payment
Passbook is offered on a paid subscription of ₹249 per month, billed via UPI AutoPay / Google Play. The subscription auto-renews each month until cancelled. Prices may change with prior notice. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for keeping your device and the data on it secure.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and its content are owned by LNPK Business Private Limited and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Passbook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any inaccuracy in the transaction data it displays.
9. Termination
You may stop using Passbook at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana shall have jurisdiction.
